Kira Matissen / kirma / – d.o.b. in 1969 in Moscow /RF/. Lives and works in Haifa /Israel/ since early 2023.

The development of the main creative stand occurred at the Moscow Polygraph (University of Printing Arts) in the traditions of the legendary school of the Higher Artistic and Technical Workshops (VKHUTEMAS). Further development and expansion of the art vision was influenced by the course of educational programs of the NCCA (National Center for Contemporary Art).

The main trend in the works is the search for the interaction of form and information by creating «INFORM» in various artistic practices (objects, graphics, media, installations, exhibition projects). Leads art actions towards poor and conceptual art.

She is a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia / Section «Newest Trends»/ «Artist's Book» (2014).

Participates in many Russian and international thematic art projects, in group graphic publications in the Livre d'artiste genre.

Author, curator and participant of exhibition projects dedicated to the Russian avant-garde: «Temporary Monument. Installation of the Present» (2013-2014), «The Avant-Garde Barrow» (2014), «Svet na Prosvet» (2017), «Sopromat» (2020), «Bridge» (2020), «BLACK-WHITE / SOUND-SIGN» (2021), «SIGN-MESSAGE»  2022. 

In desember 2023 participated in the group exhibition "ArtWar" (Haifa).
